The prompt for the month of March over at Ali Edwards was to choose something…
Instagram, 2021
Many of you wrapped up 2021 last week. I, however, took the week off and I will be using the first week or so of 2022 to wrap up the things I read, knit, listened to, and more. Today it’s my Instagram photos.
It’s pretty traditional to share a collage of your top 9 Instagram photos in December. I created mine using the Top 9 app. It’s not free but it’s simple to use and accurate, unlike some of the other top 9 things I tried. Anyway, here are the photos that got the most reactions on my Instagram account:
It’s rather obvious that photos of people get more likes than photos of food and drink.
The other thing that usually pops up on Instagram in December is the Year of Colour diagram, a collage of the colors that show up the most in your photos. Again, here’s mine.
I don’t think it really tells much of a story in terms of my favorite colors and photos but I do think it’s a beautiful visual and I love the way it pops on that black background.
I know many of you follow me on Instagram and I appreciate that! If you want to check me out, you can find my account at CaroleJuliusPhoto.

I’d say that your Top 9 pretty well encapsulates your year (except there are no photos of Friday night snacks)!
I love your Instagram posts.
Beautiful color palette. You could use it for a blanket project!
Well, it looks official, we are now into 2022. Happy Monday, Carole!
I think your collage is absolutely the perfect reflection of your year… all the absolute best parts of it! 🙂
It’s a nice way to look back on your IG year! (Although I think it would be nice if there was an app that allowed you to build a collage YOUR top-nine IG photos . . . instead of your top-liked IG photos. Just sayin.) I always like seeing annual wrap-ups! It’s nice to revisit big events (and happy events – like Hannah’s wedding and the kitties and your re-election). XO
Good year Carole! 🙂 and Mary’s idea for a blanket is excellent!
