Holiday This Or That

I found this little This Or That graphic on Instagram yesterday and, with nothing else popping into my head to blog about today, I’m sharing it.

My answers are noted by the red dot and I’d love to read your answers in the comments. Mostly I think you can’t go wrong with any of this . . . except for the tinsel, that’s a deal breaker for me!

I’ll play along with cocoa, white lights, artificial tree, sugar cookies, sledding, The Grinch, can I say decorate Dec. 29th?, I don’t like The Santa Clause or Home Alone, also not a fan of secret santa or white elephant gifts, but I do love tinsel (the old-fashioned kind that contained lead). I don’t use it, but all of our trees growing up had it and I love looking at the photos.

    A Real Tree… nothing beats that smell. (although, this is not A. Thing. in our house… Steve is allergic)

    Normally, I decorate Thanksgiving weekend… but this year I am slow on the uptake!
    I am with Bonny… I don’t care for either Home Alone or The Santa Clause… but can it be Christmas without It’s A Wonderful Life???

    I am neither a tinsel nor a popcorn fan… but I do love a gold ribbon woven through the tree!

  5. I can’t really play along with all of these, but I’ll say I prefer hot cocoa to egg nog and I will happily eat any and all Christmas cookies!

Uh, oh, it must be my weird personality coming out, hot apple cider with a shot of Calvados, any kind of lights, real tree if someone else cleans up after it frequently, otherwise no tree, Assumption Abbey Fruitcake, no snow activities whatsoever (Reynaud’s), Rudolph, decorate the week of Christmas if at all, Love Actually, neither of those type of gifts, and garland. I didn’t play this or that very well, did I? LOL

    I’ll echo Bonny w/the old-fashioned lead tinsel — each piece hung individually at the direction of my mother… who also directed the popcorn stringing in later years! I used to love watching that tinsel move when someone opened a door or walked by.
