Eye Candy Friday

I didn’t intend to take the rest of the week off from the blog but here we are on Friday and I haven’t posted since Monday so I guess that’s what happened. I had a great cookie day with Doreen on Tuesday. I made another batch at home on Wednesday night after work. And my deliveries started yesterday. I hope everyone who gets a box enjoys the treats: peanut butter balls, ginger snaps, raspberry thumbprints, spritz, brown butter pecan cookies, and confetti cookies.

I’m off work for the extended Christmas break and not returning to the library until January 6, 2025! I will be posting here, though, wrapping up the year with thoughts on my OLW and books I read and music I listened to and a few other things. Have a happy weekend!

  1. Oh man! My mouth is watering. I did manage to make cookies and the only thing left are some candied nuts which I will make today. I will also be making an apple-nut torte (with cinnamon flavored whipped cream) to take on Christmas Day to Mailing’s parents. What a lovely extended break you are having from work – enjoy!!!

  2. You made so many different kinds of delicious-looking cookies! If you have any leftovers, you can fill my box up with raspberry thumbprints. 😉 Enjoy your extended holiday time off!

  3. Wow! Is “Eye Cookies Friday” a thing? You and Doreen definitely nailed it. It hasn’t been a year for baking this year, but I’m thinking ‘New Year, New Cookies’ might be in order.

  4. What a lovely assortment! Choices are always a great thing!

Made cookies and pecan brittle last week for a visit to friends over the weekend. More cookies and candy next week for our holiday.

Happy weekend. If you need me, I’ll be over here knitting away. 😀

  5. What a thoughtful gift, Carole. People will thank you with every bite! Enjoy your extended time in cozy comfort.

  6. Whoever is on your cookie list is very lucky! Enjoy your extended break (I’m taking off until the 6th, too — no need to rush back)!
