The Best Day

It’s the best day of the year, the day after Christmas.

The work of the holiday is over. The decorating and readying the house, shopping and wrapping, the cooking and cleaning up is done for another year. Today is about sweet memories of the past few days, leftovers, new books or puzzles or toys, and relaxing.

It’s one of the only days of the year where I give myself full and express permission to do exactly as I please with zero expectation of accomplishing anything.

I highly recommend you try it, too.
