Weekending, May 14th – 16th, 2026

I had a very full weekend. Doreen was here for 2 days of plant shopping. It was our local town election (I was not on the ballot this time but I still care deeply about the races.) Dale and I were honored guests at the 200th anniversary celebration of a church in our town and the luncheon that followed. And, I planted ALL THE PLANTS on Sunday afternoon.

19 container gardens. 3 window boxes. 2 deck boxes. 1 whiskey barrel. 1 herb garden.

In other words, I need a weekend to recover from my weekend.

I only have two photos. The plants I bought:

Not included in that photo are 2 Boston ferns, a hanging container with chocolate drop coleus, diamond frost, and nonstop hanging begonia, and an entire tray of red geraniums for the window boxes.

And me:

Tired, extremely satisfied with everything I accomplished, and very grateful for the martini Dale had just handed me.

How was your weekend?
