Ready, Set, GO!

Thank you all for cheering me on! Your encouragement and support has been inspirational. I’ve even finally jumped on the Olympic Button bandwagon. I’m probably a little late to the party with these, but what the heck. You know the drill, take ’em if you want ’em, but on your own server, please.

This one is for everybody. Stick it over in your sidebar and leave it there until the Closing Ceremonies on February 26, 2006.

And, why I hadn’t thought of this before now I’ll never know. I’m such a slacker! But, for all you traditional martini lovers out there, won’t you join me on Team Martini?

Good luck, Olympic Knitters. And keep up the great work, Olympic Cheerleaders!

  1. Thanks for the flame button! It’s great. No way could I drink martinis and knit………that would result in one really wonky FO!
    Good luck Team Boston……..

  2. Shoot, I wasn’t here yesterday to cheer you on. My one job and I’m already coming up short. Sorry! I’ll be better from now on.

  3. Very nice buttons! Not quite nice enough to tempt me into drinking martinis, but nice.

Hey, you have the button in your sidebar and the flame isn’t lit yet. Hmm.

  4. I’d LOVE to drink martinis and knit, but I don’t know that I’d end up with a sweater in the end… haha. Thanks for lighting the flame!

  5. Oh my god, who knew there could be so many teams? Woowooo! Watching knitters’ progress might almost make up for the lack of any interesting coverage on TV over here.

  6. How can you be late to the party when it hasn’t started yet?
You’re EARLY! you’ve got a flame on your blog already…
For which I’m grateful, as I’m nabbing that button for my sidebar … to be updated promptly at 2:00 p.m. MY TIME…

  7. YAY Olympic Knitters! Let’s have a great time. Just about 2hours till the fun starts! (um, guess I’d better finish my swatch…)

  8. Well, now, Team Martini; that’s a good idea!

And I’m a little late to the party, but I loved your post on cranberries. When my kids were little, we took them to Cranberry World in Plymouth. They liked it better than the Mayflower which DD called “stinky.” Go figure.

  9. I just love Team Martini! Maybe I will have to reconsider joining the Olympics… after all I was making a swatch while they were showing the replays of the opening ceremonies this PM:)

  10. So, now I must give in to the temptation to do some Olympic knitting. I often mix a martini and sit down with my knitting. Now, I can say I’m doing it for the team! (though I didn’t formally sign up – I felt too sorry for Stephanie and all those entries)

  11. Are there any laws about having two team buttons on your sidebar? If not, I’ll gladly use the martini button, yummm. And of course I will add the flame one too! Thanks for the buttons 😀
