My first poppy of the season bloomed just in time for Memorial Day.
In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row

Amen!
The poppy is beautiful.
A very nice tribute. May we always remember.
Beautiful poppy- I grew up in Greece and we had poppies in the meadows growing wild- kind of like a sea of poppies. Quite a sight to behold.
Beautiful! And a fitting tribute.
Hey, I saw my first poppies of the season today, too. (Over in the Victory Gardens right here.) It’s a sign that summer is officially here. Now, we need some good summer thunder storms to reduce the humidity. Ahhh, New England…
Nice.
Beautiful flower and sentiment.
Pretty! What perfect timing.
Thanks for the lovely reminder.
Incredible picture! At night? With a flash?
Such a good reminder. The poppies are not yet blooming around here, but the lilacs are in full bloom around town as well as all throughout the cemeteries.
