Too Sick To Blog

December 17, 2008 By Carole

No, I was not abducted by the psychic medium. I have a nasty stomach bug. Started last night around midnight and I’ve spent most of my time since then hugging the porcelain throne. I can barely sit up straight to post this. Not good.

I’ll leave the comments open but just know that I won’t be responding this time.

Ugh.

  43. Kate/Massachusetts says

    December 17, 2008 at 7:04 pm

That is a nasty virus that is presently making the rounds here in Massachusetts! My son and neighbor had it last week. I took care of them both but have managed to dodge that bullet so far. Try to get in fluids – popsicles/tea/ice chips – especially if you have a temperature. My son was 102. The worst part was over in about 24 hours but both of them continued to feel weak and have sweats/chills for several days. I hope you get over this soon. It’s a nasty one!

  44. Katie K says

    December 17, 2008 at 7:14 pm

Make sure you are getting your electrolytes by drinking something like Gatorade. Bananas are good too (for the potassium). You don’t even want to know what happened to me 9 years ago when I had the same virus.

  49. Jean says

Probiotics will help you to build your immune system back up. When you take probiotics on a regular basis it lessens or eliminates these kind of infections. I even give them to my dogs and it works very well. Take care and get lots of rest and fluids when you can manage.
