Do you like Snickerdoodle cookies? I do. Very much. But I do not like making them. All that rolling into balls and then all that rolling around in cinnamon and sugar. They take forever to make.
Well stick around because I have a solution to the Snickerdoodle love problem. Make these Snickerdoodle Blondies instead.
You just press the dough into a 9×13 pan, sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar on top and pop them in the oven. They taste just like the cookies. Maybe even better. Definitely easier.
Go forth. Bake. Share. Love.
I used to love snickerdoodles.
I like the way you think.
Just in time for the arrival of house guests. Thanks for the yummy recipe.
Oh boy – that just made my day!
Those look really good, and I’d like to order them for my next visit. 🙂
Delicious! Now I’ll have to squeeze some baking into my busy week.
I am so doomed. You are an instrument of Fat Satan, you are.
And lest you not know about Fat Satan:
Darn you Carole!! And I just checked – I happen to have all the ingredients too!

My biggest problem with them was that (at least with my recipe) the dough needed to be chilled for several hours or overnight. When I’d get a hankering for them, I wanted them NOW, not tomorrow.
Sadly, though, Larry doesn’t care for them, so I don’t make them at all any more. Maybe I’ll try making these when I’m going to a pot-luck thing.
tell you what – I’ll do the main course, if you do the baking – your desserts are amazing.
Well that’s a wonderful idea! I’ll have to try them.
Heh. That’s my solution to chocolate chip cookies — press the dough into a pan and have bars (barss, here in the Scandinavian Midwest).
Oh, yum!!! I love snickerdoodles, so these should be awesome. I think I will make some on Tuesday. My youngest is graduating from college next Thursday, and rather than getting several hotel rooms for my parents and sister, etc, we have rented a townhouse in Ocean City (at the beach in Maryland)which is only a half hour away from the school. His girlfriend’s family has rented the townhouse next to ours, and Thursday night we will hold a joint blowout dinner for the two of them, both families and their friends. I think these would be an awesome addition to the feast!
Those were awesome on Saturday! The kids might like these on a rainy day such as today.
I like them better than the cookies.. they were delicious!!!!!
I have never had a snickerdoodle.
/hands head in shame
Oddly, I’ve never been crazy for the cookies, but I could have eaten the whole bag of bars. Notice that I did manage a modicum of self-control.
Yum! My grandmother (the one who called me JessaLu) used to make snickerdoodle cookies with me so they remind me of my childhood. :o)
Those look really, really good. Are they chewy like snickerdoodles?
The last cookie recipe you posted was fabulous, so this one is definitely going on my must-bake list!
Oh, my! You are dangerous this week. I cannot remember the last time I had a Snickerdoodle.
That looks excellent! 🙂
That looks like a great recipe. Remind me of how lazy I am with biscuits. I used to cut them out in nice circles, then I went to squares, then I discovered drop biscuits. Lazy baking is my favorite.
Think there might be some baking going on here this week-end!
I think I will try these out today. Yummy! Thanks for sharing Carole!
