Yes it is. My lawn is littered in leaves- mostly yellow sweet birch leaves with the occasional red maple. The latter seem to have been afflicted with a fungal thing post Hurricane Irene and are falling as mostly brown leaves.

Fall….in so many ways. Not only the leaves, but the temperatures and today, the rain. Spent Monday and the Berkshires; the colors were definitely not as vibrant and many leaves were already down.
today is the first day it feels like it here. so darned thankful for it too!
