Think Write Thursday

The Think Write Thursday topic is to write about 3 good things that happened this week.

  1. We picked our first summer squash of the season. I steamed it last night and served it with some grilled chicken and it was delicious and fresh and perfect.
  2. I attended a work meeting that included a very frank, open and honest discussion about management styles, rumors and gossip, and ways to build trust. I didn’t expect this discussion to happen but it resulted in some great team building among my peers and I’m grateful for the opportunity to see some of them in a whole new light.
  3. I finished #The100DayProject! Yes, indeed, I took one hundred one second videos from April 3rd through July 12th. It was fun and I definitely learned a lot about how long a second actually is and how to (slightly) improve my video taking skills. There are quite a few things I’d do over with those videos given the chance but it’s still a pretty nifty look back on the last 100 days. I haven’t decided yet whether I will continue doing this but I just might. I also haven’t figured out a way to share it here because the video exceeds the size of a file I can upload. Damn. You can see it on instagram, though, if you’re so inclined.

  1. We have been overwhelmed by squash (Smith planted 3 different style of squash!) and a few friends have been willing to take the extra. The season is just beginning so you’ll have loads more to enjoy. The 1 Sec video was a really fun to watch. Good work!!

  2. Your squash are just beautiful, especially against their bright green leaves. And honesty … well that’s a very good thing!

  3. Let’s see. #1. No squash overrunning my life! #2. Having fun teaching my nieces about cooking. #3. Happily watching same nieces be excited about dinner & new foods since they helped cook. Yep, a pretty good week.

  4. Congratulations on the bounty from the garden! 🙂 And a productive work meeting?? Hooray!! I love a challenge, I might try the video project.

    Hooray for three great things!

  5. yay for homegrown squash, great work meetings and day 101 (I’m giving myself a 24 hour break from Instagram to celebrate!)
