Wednesdays Are For Knitting: Santa Hat

I have a finished hat to show you today! It’s the Santa Hat that my friend Sean designed. He had initially knit this for himself but when I asked him to write up the pattern and share it he willingly complied. Yay!

The pattern is free on Ravelry and the yarn is Rowan Kid Classic in the colors Feather and Cherry Red. It’s a well written pattern and easy to follow and should have been a fast knit. In fact, it was a pretty fast knit and it’s been done for weeks . . . all I had to do to finish it was attach the pom pom – I went with this fun faux fur variety instead of a traditional one made from yarn. I finally attached it yesterday (it took less than 5 minutes! why do we procrastinate these little details?!) and I am happy to share it with you today.

Here’s the modeled shot. I will be styling for this year’s Christmas Parade!
