Before our road trip, I cast on for a new Musselburgh hat. My grandson, Patrick…
Lamar Scarf
I think it’s nice to have small projects in between big projects like vests and sweaters. So when Gale posted her Lamar Scarf a while back I queued it up and ordered some yarn from Webs. I ordered gray to make one for Dale and orange to make one for Lois. Wouldn’t you know that Lois’ birthday was last week? And wouldn’t you know that I made her this scarf!
The yarn is Cascade 109 Tweed LE and it comes in lots of beautiful colors. It knits up super fast on size 13 needles and it’s completely reversible. Truly this scarf makes a great gift.
Lois loves orange and she is thrilled with how cushy and warm it is. I am thrilled that I finished a birthday present on time – for once.

Orange always brings a smile. Love this, and now off to add it to the queue.
Awesome! I love that it’s reversible – which is important for a scarf.
What a wonderful gift and great color. Well done!
I agree, sometimes I get so bored when I’m knitting a sweater that I always have a scarf or a pair of socks on the needles!
What a fun scarf!
It looks beautiful! I think I’m going to have to knit a few for gifts too.
What a fabu gift! Orange, tweed, AND cables – a trifecta!
Boy, do I love that scarf! I think I’m going to have to check that out. Beautiful job… and I really like that “knitting up fast” thing it’s got going on.
That looks like a great travel project- beautiful!
Gorgeous color and it looks like it would be fun to knit, it would certainly keep my interest with all its movement, we could all use a fast knit every now and then. It would also be a nice project to rotate back to when I am knitting socks on size 0 needles (nice break for my hands)
That is a great scarf! I can see it being a wonderful choice for gift knitting. It looks so cushy and warm.
Love the scarf!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that pattern before. Very fun! (Mentally digs through her stash to find a good yarn for this pattern.)
The scarf is brilliant (in more than one sense), and so is Gale.
