Hello and Happy Monday! I'm home after a fun week of camping with the fam…
Vacation
As we pulled out of the driveway last week to head to Cape Cod I queued up the iPod and played the Go Go’s song “Vacation.” Hannah teased me about it but it set just the right mood and I didn’t let her discourage me. It really was a great week and totally lived up to the mood of the song.
We had 6 days of hot sunny weather, one day of cloudy weather, and one day of rain. You can’t ask for more than that on Cape Cod and we made the most of it.
There was the beach. Lots and lots of the beach.
And there was mini-golf and fried clams and steamers and lobster rolls and martinis and beer. There were games of Apples to Apples and Catch Phrase. And there was knitting. I finished a pair of socks and a shawl and started a new sweater and a new pair of socks.
A vacation doesn’t get any better than that.

Really, I can’t imagine a better vacation. Sounds absolutely perfect. Looking forward to seeing the FOs 🙂 (And having FOs that will always remind you of the wonderful place where they were finished is just an added bonus.)

Sounds exactly right to me! We’re not getting our traditional beach week vacation this summer…sigh.(Although living by a beach does take the sting out a little,)
Oh, what a perfectly restful vacation. Sounds lovely.

That ounds like my idea of a perfect vacation too. Good to hear you had a wonderful time! 🙂
We’re just starting our second week. We’ve had 5 days in a row of freakishly hot weather, which is to say 85 degrees. Good thing we’re right next to a lake.
Perfect vacation! We’re there now- well I had to come back last night for further flood damage repairs today. And the weather is hot, hot, hot. The beaches are nice and breezy a definite plus.
That sounds amazing! It’s been waaaay too long since I’ve had a beach vacation.
