Ten On Tuesday

I hope you all had a great weekend, whether it included 3 days off or just the typical 2. Mine was a long one and it was full of good things. Sit back and relax and let me tell you about 10 Things I Did This Weekend.

  1. Had a dinner party Saturday night.
  2. Made a yummy breakfast of leeks, swiss chard, hash browns and eggs – all local and all thanks to the generosity of my friends Sharon and Al.
  3. Joined Costco. Margene and Cheryl made me do it.
  4. Played cards with Dale. I lost but it was still fun.
  5. Danced in the kitchen.
  6. Watched the Pats beat the Broncos. Buh bye, Manning.
  7. Completed week 8 of the Couch to 5K program. This makes me an official C25K graduate. I need to work on my speed but I’m stoked about my endurance.
  8. Caught up on tv. Revenge, The Good Wife, Grey’s Anatomy, Parenthood – they are all back and I’m enjoying the heck out of them.
  9. Knit. I started the lace portion of Wandering the Moors and finished the leg and heel of my September socks.
  10. Finished decorating the house for autumn. Pumpkins, gourds, & leaves abound.

It was a great weekend!

  1. Sounds wonderful! Congratulations on your Couch to 5K program! This weekend was spinning weekend for me: guild meeting and finishing spinning project on Sunday. Did get to our lovely farmer’s market on Sunday, yummy!

  2. Sounds like a great weekend, Carole! And . . . ditto the congrats on the running. That is just awesome. 🙂

  3. I read you were going to do another 5K. You inspire me and I’ve been walking more since you were here. Your weekend sounds lovely and relaxing.

  4. Sounds like a fantastic weekend. What card game did you and Dale play? I love cards, but most of the games I know are for more than two people.

  5. Sounds positively lovely! Yahoo on finishing c25k!!! You rock 🙂 My weekend was full of work – pulling the boat out of the water, washing the boat, putting it away in the garage, winterizing the house, putting the dock up, etc. But we did manage to sneak in some shopping (new clothes for K & new shoes for momma), pizza, sushi (the supermarket kind, but it was good), and football! I also went running on Sunday morning, and it was lovely 🙂

  6. The great thing about running is that the progress is so palpable. You enjoyed football, me not so much. Both my teams lost including Payton and the Broncos. Have a great week!

  7. What a great weekend! We are finally getting a Costco in our area (probably won’t be open for at least another year, though).

  8. Your table looked so lovely, all “dressed” for the dinner party. Your weekend sounds ideal. Here’s to many more!

    Cheers~

  9. Congratulations on your progress!!! Continue success. You
can do it!! Sounds like a great weekend!!! I think this is one
of those “bestest”3 day weekends. October is my favorite
    month of the year.
