It's time to put the fall session of Read With Us behind us and that…
Scenes from King Richard’s Faire
The thing that makes a Renaissance Faire so awesome is all the sights. Okay, maybe all the beer, too, but still, the people and the costumes and the fantasy, that’s what it’s really all about. So sit back and enjoy some of the sights we saw at the faire.
Kinda makes you want to put on yer boots and get thee to a faire, doesn’t it? Ay.

Does this bring back memories of the Medieval Faire we put on with our 6th graders! It’s still going on with help from one of my retired colleagues though the number of students participating has decreased since we changed the curriculum.
Wow! The costumes are amazing and the Faire looks like a whole lot of fun!
What a great place! And you’re looking pretty good there Carole!
Ay! It does, m’lady! (Or would that be “doth?”) Wow! That looks SO fun.
Love King Richard! You look great, and Dale … well, he always looks great when he’s dressed up, so in his element 🙂
Fantastic photos… as always.
It makes me want to say “Ay, my maties.”! But that’s pirates, isn’t it? Oopsie. 😀
There is a fabulous Renaissance Festival in Maryland. We haven’t been in a few years. I think we will have to do it again soon. Did you know that jousting is the state sport of Maryland and has been since 1962? They recently added lacrosse as the second state sport.
You and Dale always seem to participate 100%. Way cool!
Great pictures! Looked like it was fun, as always. What do they do with that site when the fair isn’t in town? It looks like it was made just for King Richard.
What wonderful photos! Looks like you all had a wonderful time.
I took Elder Son to the Twin Cities Ren Fair when he was about 8. I remember he was completely gobsmacked when I told him to hurry up and finish his lunchtime treat because we had to get over to where Puke & Snot were going to perform in a few minutes.
“…?!?!?”
“Yes, they are called Puke & Snot. Now finish that up.”
I”m thinking all that good looking male company is a plus at the Faire along with the spirits! You all look smashing. You know Carole, you really could put together a book about how to LIVE! 🙂
