Right now I am . . .

st patricks day selfie for carole knits

Practicing: Selfies with the big camera. I pretty much suck but it’s fun.

Reading: Bellman & Black by Diane Setterfield. I wasn’t sure about it and it’s certainly quite different from The Thirteenth Tale but I’m enjoying it very much.

Watching: Downton Abbey. Dale and I had always planned on watching this – I knew we’d love it – and I was right. We’ve just started Season 3.

Listening: To the wind howling. It’s ferocious out there!

Eating: This delicious One Pot Spaghetti Puttanesca. Whole wheat pasta and no meat and it’s fantastic. Do you think it will compensate for the chili dogs I had the night before?

Growing: My hair. And my bangs. It’s a pain in the ass but I think it will be worth it in the end.

Admiring: All of the new grandbabies our friends are having. Seriously, there were 5 in the last week and I’m sorta jealous. Not that I want Hannah to go down that road just yet . . . but I do have 3 stepchildren that could get crackin’.

Dreaming: About Mexico. 24 days.

What’s going on with you?

  1. 24 days!! You must be jumping out of your skin to get out of Dodge! Selfies make me too self conscious. Growing hair is a pain, I know, as I’m growing mine, too. Now sure I’ll love it, but it’s worth a go. You look great!!

  2. Good job!! I’ve been sticking with my selfies too. Not every day, but at least once a week, now I have to pull out the big camera and give it a try.

  3. Love the selfie! I am making an attempt to grow out my grey, but have already dreamed that it’s a bad idea. We’ll see. And chili dogs, it doesn’t get any better than that!

  4. I tried selfies yesterday – it was bad. Yours came out great! Growing out the hair is a real pain. I can imagine how anxious you are for Mexico!

  5. rockin’ that selfie! a great smile is always a good starting point! I cried on the floor at the end of DA season 3. just a warning…

  6. Mighty nice selfie there, Carole! 🙂 Growing out the hair is always a pain – but change is good! Mexico sounds like a wonderful diversion from this . . . “winter of our discontent” (as Tom calls it!).
