Socks for Jessica

Remember waaaaaay back in December when I said I had some knitting I was hoping to finish for Christmas? As I predicted, it didn’t happen.

It did happen in 2014, however, as I finished on New Year’s Eve day. You’re probably wondering why it has taken over a month to actually blog about them. Part of the reason is that I didn’t take photos for a week.

And the other part is that I didn’t actually give them to the recipient until this past Sunday. I couldn’t very well blog about socks for Jessica when Jessica didn’t know she was getting socks.

Now she has them, mismatched stripes and all, and her feet are warm despite all the snow we’ve gotten in the last 2 weeks.

And that makes me very happy.

P.S. Details on yarn and stuff on my Ravelry page.

  1. Do you mean it happened in 2015? Good ol’ Opal. It’s my favorite sock yarn as it wears like iron! My oldest socks are Opal. Love the color and your recipient is very happy, too.
Tell me how much snow you have. I live vicariously through you.

  2. It looks like the heels match…I’m trying to figure out what changed so that the tops and toes don’t match! Cute socks anyway! 🙂

  3. Opal is the best for socks! And that pair does bring SPRING to mind. . . (Unlike the view out my window just now. Snow. And more snow.)

  4. You got them done before the end of the year and that counts in my book! As cold as it has been I am sure she was thrilled to have them.
