Ten On Tuesday

It’s been a while since we talked about music for a Ten On Tuesday subject. Yesterday I mentioned how much I enjoy Pandora and, in particular, the Laid Back Brunch station. I thought it might be fun to listen to the station and list the first ten songs that came on. And I thought it would be even more fun if you did the same thing with your favorite Pandora station. Today’s Ten on Tuesday subject? The First Ten Songs That Play On Your Favorite Pandora Station.

the hammock is a great place to be while listening to music. just sayin.

  1. All In by Life House
  2. When A Heart Breaks by Ben Rector
  3. Here Without You by 3 Doors Down
  4. Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae
  5. Everybody by Ingrid Michaelson
  6. Good Life by One Republic
  7. The Giving Tree by Plain White Ts
  8. A Thousand Years by Christina Perri
  9. Bright Lights by Matchbox 20
  10. Falling Slowly by The Swell Season

I’m short on time today so I’m just writing the list. I will say, some of those songs I know and some I had never heard before. And while this was great for listening to on a rainy Sunday afternoon at home, well, on Monday at the office? Not so much. Something a little peppier might have been in order!

I hope you had fun with this week’s topic. If you wrote a post for today please let us find it by adding a link below. If you want to join the club and get the weekly Ten on Tuesday email, just click here.

  1. that sounds like a great station! I think I know the Matchbox 20 and the Corinne Bailey Rae songs, but the rest are new to me.

  2. I’m glad you did this, if for no other reason than I discovered that iTunes has been messing with my music again. When I logged in this morning, I had six albums in my iTunes account, most of them my daughter’s. I managed to recover another 1,500 songs or so, but there is still stuff missing. I have not been a Spotify or Pandora person, but I’m starting to rethink that.

  3. That sounds like a good station; I’ll have to check it out. I play Pandora when I’m working, especially during report writing. Favorite stations: Classical Music for Studying; Zen Radio; Classical Guitar; Rogers and Hammerstein (singalong time!); Jacques Loussier (jazz trio versions of classical music); and Liz Story. When I babysit, my little friend enjoys the Toddler Radio; Kidz Bop; and the Lullaby Radio helps her nap.

  4. I don’t know those songs either! But I am certainly going to give the station a try. And that hammock looks very inviting!

  5. I see the attraction to Pandora, but I like having an old fashioned DJ on the radio to tell me about the music I’m hearing. The public station doesn’t have adds, which makes the station a go to and the music superb. From your list I know only a couple of tunes. Thanks for letting me know you like Pandora.

  6. Certain situations definitely call for a certain type of music, don’t they!? We love Rosanne Cash’s “The River & The Thread” CD… but we discovered quickly that we do not love it for road-trip driving!!

I always love when the musical topic comes around. 😉

  7. I know some of those songs!!! (But not all. . . ) I never seem to find Pandora stations that really offer a variety of songs. (Somehow, I always get Audioslave . . . over and over and over again.) XO

  8. Thank you! I wasn’t going to participate, but seeing your simple list just after 6am changed my mind. Charlie and I listened to *my* music today…I think for the first time on a Tuesday! I’m not a Pandora fan, but whoa, that mix looks good!

  9. That quilt is a beauty! Did you make it?
My current favorite station is Outlaw Country on Sirius-yesterday they played John Hiatt followed by Delbert McClinton followed by Lucinda Williams & it was all I could ask for in a radio station.
