I've mentioned here and there that we are having our living room renovated. We've been…
Wednesdays Are For Knitting. Except When They Aren’t.
Wednesdays are for knitting around here. We all know that.
Except.
All of my knitting is stuff I can’t show you right now.
I have finished socks but they are a gift and the giftee hasn’t seen them yet.
I have socks I am working on but they are also a gift.
I have a shawl I am working on but it’s a mystery shawl. Plus, it’s lace and unblocked lace looks like a blob so really, nothing to see there either.
What to do . . . what to do . . .
Ahhhh.
A blueberry pie. I followed this recipe and cooked the blueberries first. It was perfect and I highly recommend this technique.
Move along now. Nothing else to see here.

“Wednesdays Are For Pie” – now there’s a topic I can wholeheartedly sink my teeth into!
Thanks for the blueberry pie recipe! Reading it was such and ah moment. Makes so much sense to cook the filling to reduce the runniness.
That looks yummy. I made a strawberry rhubarb pie last weekend and it turned into mush — too much juice. Maybe precooking the filling is a good idea.
I don’t need to see anything else! That pie is fabulous! Enjoy 🙂
You could come to Colorado and teach me how to make such a beautiful crust!
A pie is plenty fabulous to see! You sure do a lot of gift knitting! I’m behind on the shawl and trying very hard to catch up! Maybe this weekend I’ll get clue 4 finished.
Oh, Carole, my lower carb mindset is losing out to the lusciousness of blueberry pie… Good thing I don’t have any blueberries on hand! I do have a couple of really ripe peaches.(Living in Florida has some benefits despite the Heat Index being in the 110 range these days…) Maybe time for some peach hand pies… Mmmmmmmm…
Gorgeous photo!
Well the pie looks damn good! The hell with the knitting (for now at least).
So you’re showing us weaving!
I LOVE Bonny’s comment! and I wish I could be there to enjoy even one little tiny bite. It looks delicious!
Mmmmm. I love blueberry pie! (Especially with melty vanilla ice cream. . . )
Mmm. That looks delicious!! I’m sure it was…
