Wednesdays Are For Knitting: Peace Cowl No. 2

Believe it or not, I have another finished hand knit to show you today, Peace Cowl No. 2.

According to my very sketchy details on Ravelry, I started it some time in February 2017 and I finished it some time in June 2017. Yes, that’s a super long time for a pretty simple knit. It languished and I’m not sure why – especially when you consider that I finished Peace Cowl No. 1 in less than a month.

The yarn is Sophie’s Toes Magic Ball in the color The Globe. It’s the most stunning jewel tones and I love the way they look together. Bonus – it goes with so much and provides a real pop of color when worn with black.

The stitch definition is lovely and even though those eleventy million stitches took for-ev-er it’s totally worth it now that it’s blocked and I can wear it.

Speaking of wearing it, I did yesterday and I got several compliments and two people even offered to hire me to knit one for them.

Do you think they’d mind waiting until June? Heh.

  2. It is stunning. Can you explain the Magic Ball to me? I have read sort of conflicting information on it. Is it really several smaller bits tied together or a continuous thread? If the former, what is that like to work with? I mean besides being able to produce this beauty of a scarf.
