Three On Thursday

Today’s post is a simple one. But it’s full of spring cheer. Behold, three photos of daffodils I picked in my yard yesterday:

I don’t know the names of those varieties but I can tell you that I bought them from Breck’s and I believe they came in a naturalizing mixture. They are sprinkled all over my front garden beds this year and around the base of the tree in our front yard as well. I can see them from the windows in my kitchen, living room, and bedroom.

They bring me joy. And anything that brings me this much joy is definitely something I want to share with you.

  1. Daffodils are just the most wonderful, bright-and-sunny flowers, aren’t they? My daffodils are still waiting to open — but soon! I have many buds getting heavier by the day. (I did have one bloom — it’s always this goofy “outlier” in a sunny spot in my butterfly garden. Such a tease.) Flowers are MAGICAL! (And especially this spring.) XO

  2. Beautiful! Some varieties I have never seen before! And I am with Carolyn – I can almost smell them!

  3. I was noticing that my daffodils are not as full this year so I probably need to plant new bulbs next fall. They are very cheerful

  4. Such beautiful daffodils! That last one is my favorite — I’m not sure I’ve seen anything like it before!

  5. Love the different varieties of sunny, happy daffodils! The naturalizing kits are the way to go. That’s my plan for next fall.

  6. Love your daffodils! We have quite a few around here but I dare not pick them. Smith picks up a bouquet of tulips for me every week when he goes.
