One Little Word Update: November 2021

It’s the last Tuesday of the month and that means it’s time for a One Little Word update.

Honestly, I feel like I could just repost what I wrote for October and be done because I’m feeling the same way. In other words, I haven’t done the Ali Edwards prompt and I’m still dealing with chronic pain and my ability to create is, as a result, still very limited.

In an effort to cheer myself up, I have considered other ways I can create . . .

I can create hope, as I’m seeing a new doctor today

I can create comfort, as I decorate for Christmas

I can create a safe and loving home for Fred and George.

As I’ve learned these last few months, create is a verb but it’s not always about things.

  1. I will be thinking positive thoughts as you meet with the new doctor today! (and sending you love across the miles!)

I love how you are using create when creating is a struggle! Well done!

  2. The best words challenge the way we THINK about them. Whenever I’ve set out with something specific in mind about whatever word I’ve chosen . . . I’m usually thrown to the ground. And end up learning there’s a lot MORE to the word than I would have dreamed. The challenges you’re facing right now . . . will open you up and show you that there are so many ways to . . . CREATE the life you want to create. XO
Sending you all the love today.

  3. I love how you are thinking differently about what create brings into your life right now. And I will join you in creating hope for this new doctor and perhaps some answers or new directions.

  4. How very astute, Carole! You create wonderful feelings and situations for yourself and your loved ones every day through your actions. Glad to know that you recognize that! Sending all positive vibes your way for a good office visit. Hope you like your new doctor.

  5. I think the beauty of living with a word for a full year is that we often wind up in a very different place than we’d planned when we started the year. You definitely thought of “create” in the sense of making physical things early on, but I really admire the creativity (ha!) you’ve shown in approaching your word in a new way. And I also hope the new doctor is able to help you and that the pain improves so you can get back to the physical crafting!

  6. To me create has a sense of growth, learning to it. Things seldom turn out the way we envision at the start, do they. Hoping you find what can be done to help alleviate your pain. 🙂

  7. This reminds me of what I think of as ‘being’ our word versus ‘doing’ our word. And yet…it sure can be hard and painful and disappointing. I’m sincerely hoping for good things from your appointment this week.

  8. I love that you found more from your word this month just like I did with mine … and for both of us that “more” comes from looking beyond the things. synchronicity! (and p.s. I do hope that new doctor gave you new hope!)
