Wednesdays Are For Knitting: Advent Socks
For the first time in what feels like a very long time, I have a finished pair of socks to share with you.
As a refresher, the yarn is from The Cozy Knitter and it’s the 2022 Advent 24 stripe skein. The contrasting picot edge, heel, and toe is a random skein of blue that I had.
I did the contrasting yarn to preserve the stripes and I’m so glad I did because they really match perfectly.
These will be a gift, although I’m not sure who the lucky recipient will be just yet. What I do know is that it feels great to have a finished pair of socks or the gift basket.

These are lovely, Carole! I think having a pair of socks in the gift basket is a HUGE gift! XO
Your socks look wonderful, with all those stripes, and perfectly matched at that!
Beautiful finish Carole! Congrats on beginning to fill the gift basket. I’m starting to do that too…sort of…but keeping some for moi! LOL
I love that picot edge. I have returned to sock knitting too.
Nice works on those socks! They are perfectly matched and such a pretty pattern. There must be something in the air because I am knitting socks, too. (I am much better at casting them on though than finishing them!)
Striping perfection! What a great bunch of colors. I’m sure the future recipient will be delighted!
Those are fantastic socks, Carole! Whoever ends up with them is a very lucky person.
What fun stripes, Carole!!! I love the contrast bits, too. XO
These are gorgeous!
