Weekend Glimmers, Jan 5-7th, 2024

I got out of the groove of sharing my weekend glimmers over the holiday break but I’m getting back into it now. Sort of. Because, while I thought about these glimmers . . . I didn’t actually take photos of them.

Except for this one of Fred & George asleep in their beds.

You’ll just have to picture . . .

Friday Night snacks with not just Dale but also Hannah. I love that she knows that she can come by on Friday nights and we’ll be hanging out and she can join us for a glass of wine and a catch up.

Saturday knitting and journaling and reading.

Dinner at a friend’s house on Saturday night. We only get together with them once or twice a year and it always fills me with joy to see them.

Sunday snow (but not much) and homemade chicken soup. A cozy and comforting end to the weekend.

I’ll try to do better with the photo documenting next time. But using your imagination is a good thing, too!

  1. Fred and George in their matching beds are adorable! I made homemade soup this weekend too. The weather was perfect for that!

  2. Dual cat napping levels of winter coziness. Now that is a new year aspiration.

Hannah knowing she can drop in for Friday night snacks and the company of people who love her is also a very cozy feeling. Excellent weekend accomplished.

  3. I think it is a good thing that the moments were so delightfully engaging that one does not remember to take a photo. Those might be the best moments of all! XO

  4. Love seeing the boys curled up in their beds! As for the rest, it sounds to me like you were enjoying yourself too much to get out your phone to take a photo, and that’s a good thing in my book.

  5. Your glimmers are wonderful — and I can picture them without pictures, y’know??? We don’t need to photo-document everything. Sometimes it’s good to just enjoy the moment — and let us use our imaginations. XO

  6. I can picture a pretty nice weekend right there! Question…Do F and G always use the same bed or first come first served? 🙂

  7. The best (only?) time to get good photos of our pets (and babies) is when they are sleeping. Fred and George are adorable.
