I had a weekend full of glimmers. I did not, however, capture many of those…
Weekend Glimmers, March 22nd – 24th, 2024
Glimmers . . . moments that spark joy, contentment, and peace, making me feel that all is well and I am right where I belong . . .
I’m coming to you on a Monday where I feel rested and ready for the week ahead. Perhaps because I had a good night’s sleep last night. Or perhaps because it was an easy and balanced weekend.
I had hash and eggs on Friday morning. Or, my version of hash . . . which is just taking all of the leftover vegetables from a boiled dinner and chopping them up and frying them with the leftover corned beef. I topped it with 2 poached eggs and it was delicious and kept my full all day long.
Saturday was a very rainy day and Fred & George had the right idea. I had to go out for groceries but it was a quick trip as my favorite grocery store now offers free curbside pick up. The rest of the day was spent puttering and planning, reading (I finished Erasure) and hanging out.
On Sunday we did something we haven’t done in ages . . . we went out! hahaha! We needed to get some bird seed and I wanted to get some pansies so we coupled that with a Sunday drive and even stopped at a new-to-us restaurant for a bit to eat and some libations. It felt great to go out together and, while I might be missing Sunday soup leftovers for lunch today, it was nice to not have to cook and then clean up the kitchen.
How was your weekend?

We had a wet weekend too – tons of rain on Saturday. But Sunday was very sunny…still quite chilly and windy, but bright sun. Fred and George are so cute curled up together. Hope your week is a great one Carole.
I like that errand – go out for bird seed and pansies and end up eating dinner out! Hope you have a good week ahead.
I also love that errand turned supper out! Here is to a good Monday that leads to an amazing week! XO
Looks like the perfect weekend, Carole. The cats just kill me!
Sounds like a nice weekend. We used to have weekly errand/date days but haven’t done that in ages. We need to get back into the habit.
Sometimes we just need to treat ourselves even it means no Monday leftovers.
Sounds like a great weekend with just the right balance of activity and rest! In my next life, I definitely want to come back as a pet so I can spend the days napping. Fred and George had the right idea for a rainy day!
It feels like we haven’t been out to eat in ages, too! I’m all for a puttering weekend! 😉
What great weekend glimmers, Carole! That hash and eggs looks delicious, your weekend sounds ideal, and . . . it’s so nice to go out once in a while! Here’s to a plenty of glimmers during the week, too. XO
