Town Meeting Time
Last night was the Annual Town Meeting for the town where I work and I always attend, just in case there is a question or concern about something related to the library. I sit in the back and I observe the back and forth, the drama and pontificating, and I knit.
Right now, I’m knitting rainbow socks and at the start of the meeting I had just hit the brown stripe.

Two hours later, after the last of the articles that had anything remotely related to the library had passed, I had completed the brown stripe plus four more stripes.
It’s the perfect way to pass the time and I left feeling both productive and also relieved for another year.

That is some productive knitting time in more than one way!! (and I love your nail color!)
Just like Stars Hollow! (And I love the socks!)
You go, Girl! I think you are the best librarian for going to these meetings, and I am very happy for you that the book banning crazies have not hit your area. I have ordered a “Free People Read Freely” tee shirt that I will wear proudly as I run my errands. I like that sock, it’s very whimsical.
YAY for feeling relieved!! Glad the meeting went ok and so nice that you could pay attention, but knit so much! A good use of time. Now I want to look for that shirt that Becky R. mentioned!
It’s always nice to come out of a meeting like that with something to show for it, and several stripes of a sock is excellent! I hope there wasn’t too much drama.
What a perfect way to get through a meeting! Cheerful stripes for the WIN!!!
