Ten On Tuesday

February 9, 2016 By Carole

This week we are going with a different – and hopefully fun – topic. Here’s the scenario: You’ve been kidnapped. Make a list of 10 TV characters you’d want to help you. Ready?

snowy window for carole knits

  1. Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord of Madame Secretary. To negotiate my release.
  2. Dr. Meredith Grey of Grey’s Anatomy. To fix my injuries. Plus, she’s been through a lot of trauma and she’d be helpful.
  3. Attorny Alicia Florrick of The Good Wife. To prosecute my captors.
  4. Marie Barone of Everybody Loves Raymond. To cook and care for me.
  5. Dr. Frasier Crane of Frasier. To take care of my emotional health.
  6. Jack Bauer of 24. To break me out in case the Secretary of State can’t get me released.
  7. Carrie Bradshaw of Sex in the City. To make the cocktails.
  8. Leslie Knope of Parks and Recreation. To work with Jack Bauer and Elizabeth McCord.
  9. Mary Richards of Mary Tyler Moore Show. To tell my story to the people of the world.
  10. Dexter Morgan of Dexter. To exact revenge on my captors.

That was easy and pretty fun, too. I hope you all enjoyed the prompt. Remember, if you wrote a post for today please add your link below. If you’d like to get the weekly Ten On Tuesday email just click here.

Fun topic, Carole — with a great list! (Oh my god . . .Carrie Bradshaw. Cracks me up.)

Well, if I had either Samantha Stevens from Bewitched or McGyver at my side I would be set. Obviously a twitch of the nose would be faster, but working with McGyver would be more interesting. Pretty sure DH would choose Spock who would logically teleport them to safety. Fun question.

Riotously fun topic and I love your list – I did not think this way, but I think you list is genius. Especially Dexter! Hahahahaha!

I think I know few people on your list than I do on my own. TV isn’t my forte.

What a fun list! My first thought is “Sydney Bristow” from Alias (& her dad, too) – one of my all time favorite shows.

I would be afraid that Meredith might get too involved with Cristina (or McDreamy), cry that you had been kidnapped, and then want you to dance it out. Maybe Dr. House or Dr. Doug Ross?

    Very fun topic!

Marie Barone and Carrie Bradshaw. That is a duo I’d like to see together!

The first man who came to mind was Norm Abrams, of This Old House fame. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norm_Abram
    Norm can fix anything!

This is a hoot. If Alicia and Elizabeth can’t get the job done, I don’t know who could.

Hilarious! So fun… and so many characters to choose from! I can’t wait to read them all…

I’ll have to add my linky later, but I had to comment–your list is awesome! This was a very fun prompt.

I only need two, Sheriff Andy Taylor to rescue me and Ben Matlock to hang the bad guys!

Oh, gosh, I think Dexter would be a great candidate, though he might have to work alone, lol.

Hmm, your list is a lot more practical than mine. I seem to gravitate towards time and space travelers…

Inspector Morse-it means I would be in Oxford and would get to listen to some great music and maybe help him with a crossword puzzle!

My first thought was McGyver…who else would you need?

  20. Maureen says

Hands down…Liam Neeson! Did you see the movie “Taken?” He’s my man and I’m sticking with him!

    I fail miserably…I didn’t name a TV personality! Sorry!

I actually started learning about making sourdough bread a week before the stay at home orders thanks to @sprboston as he shared his starter and recipe and technique with me. Since then I have kept Mama Cass fed and alive and have baked many loaves of bread. This one might be my best one yet. I did the final proof in the fridge for 24 hours and baked it from its cold state.
