New Year, New Word

As I have for the past several years, I have chosen a word for 2018 and that word is kind. I am excited about the possibilities and opportunities this word will bring to my life . . . to my actions and attitude . . . to my goals and values . . . to my daily habits and my creative pursuits. I will be kind . . . to myself and to others . . . the ones I love and the ones that challenge me because kindness matters.

Happy New Year, let’s make it a year of being kind.

  1. It really doesn’t cost a person anything to be kind, but some sure act like it is the hardest thing in the world to part with, I guess they just forget. Here’s to ‘kindness’! A ‘soft’ virtue with the strength of steel to bind us together.

  2. You’re my ‘kind’ of gal. I look forwrad to seeing where this takes an already thoughtful person. Best wishes for a wonderful 2018.

  3. That’s the word I chose, too. (Well, I chose kindness, but it’s the same thing.) Let’s go be kind to the world, including the dumbasses who aren’t kind.

  4. Lovely word. Happy New Year Carole and family.

My word is Balance and as I’m new to the picking a word, it should be fun.

  5. Perfect! My word for the year is RESIST. Resist all negative thoughts and actions, resist those who are unkind, resist being drawn into the chaos. I hope both of us have a good year, guided by our chosen words.

  6. I think you are already a very kind person, and I’m sure that by focusing on kindness your deeds and actions will set a great example and spread kindness even further.

  7. A wonderful word! I haven’t succeeded at finding just one word yet. There seems to be so many! Happy New Year to you, Dale and your family!

  8. I was going to say what dear Margene said. You are the epitome of kindness Carole. I look forward to what YOU bring to the word this year! XO

  9. The world sure needs more people to be kind, may all the kindness you share return to you in 2018!

  10. I chose that word two times in the last couple of years, and for me, it made a huge difference. I hope it will make you feel even better about yourself.
