Every year, right about this same time, I post a picture that looks just like this one. The first crocus of spring! Hooray!
Hooray for the weekend, too.
Sometimes it’s worth getting the big camera out. When I got home Tuesday night (Valentine’s Day Eve, if you will) this bouquet was waiting for me. I had to work late and Dale had already left for a meeting but the flowers were on the kitchen counter with a note that said, “So you’ll have them to enjoy when you wake up on Valentine’s Day.” Pretty perfect, I’d say.
You know what else is perfect? The weekend.
P.S. I’ve got some time off next week so my blogging schedule may be erratic. I’ll see you when I see you!
The other day I had the privilege of visiting with a long time friend on the campus of Wheaton College, my alma mater. Even though it’s been over 30coughyears since I graduated from there the memories are vivid and I love being back on that beautiful campus. As I said when I shared this photo on instagram, Wheaton will always have my heart.
Cheers to happy memories!
I don’t have a cute picture of Jackie to show you. And I didn’t buy any flowers at the grocery store this week. Instead, I took a walk through the library and I admired the many plants we have. Some of them don’t look their best this time of year but they are green and growing and in the midst of winter that’s a very good thing.
I hope your weekend is full of good things, too.
