Hello, friends! I'm joining with Kat today to talk about my knitting and reading. My…
Socktoberfest 2008
My sock mojo was in full force for this year’s Socktoberfest. I finished 3 pairs of socks this month!
First up, my Trick of Treat Swap Socks. I knit Broadripple socks from Scout’s Swag superwash, color Socktoberfest. They arrived at their destination Friday – just in the nick of time.
You already know I finished my Fallen Leaves socks just in time for Rhinebeck. These are my basic picot edge sock and the yarn is Judy’s. The shoes are new – aren’t they cute?
Finally, I knit the Through the Loops Mystery Socks. It was a bit of a challenge to keep up with the pattern releases each week but I managed to stay on track and finished the pair up last Wednesday. The yarn is Regia Silk and these are a gift for a friend at work.
That’s a lot of socks for just one month. I’m just doing my best to knit down the stash, one pair of socks at a time.

Whoa – you are a sock knitting machine! I’m so impressed. They are all just lovely, and your shoes? Love!!
I’m impressed! But you always are the monarch of sock knitting speed.
You speed knitter you! Lovely socks and very lucky recipients!
They’re all beautiful! Well done.
Three pairs in one month is great! I just love the pair you made for your swap pal. What a great colorway! And the mystery socks are beautiful!
Congrats on finishing three pairs of socks! 🙂 They all look great. I managed to finish one pair of worsted weight socks but I got a lot more of them started so I can finish them in time for the holidays.
That all look fantastic! I particularly like the TTL pattern in the Regia silk — gorgeous!
Nice! You’ve made some feet very happy.
They’re all great! I especially love the fall colored socks. You’re doing a good job knitting down your stash. How much do you have left?
That’s a lot of socks for one summer!! LOVE your new shoes! Perfect sock shoes!
You have been knitting up a sock storm! The socks are lovely and the shoes are so cute! There is nothing better than new shoes to make you want to knit more new socks too.
Beautiful socks and three pair in one month is fantastic!
Amazing that you knit that many in month. They’re wonderful! I’m glad you kept one pair for yourself.
All of the socks are lovely! What sort of shoes are those? The ends of the toes look vaguely Keenish, but the toe box doesn’t look wide enough.
Okay, give up the knitting elves and nobody gets hurt. Awesome socks.
Oh they are ALL so pretty!
Boo (hoo) your socks are late,
But I hope you will still think they are great.
Fear not, your treats are on their way,
I’m frightfully sorry for the delay.
You are a machine! I barely got the prototypes of the Mystery Sock done last month!
They all look great. Scout’s Socktoberfest yarn looks great as Broadripple!
AWESOME! The socks are beautiful, you’re on a roll. I just need to find my sock mojo AND my blog mojo! Hope you had a nice weekend!
That is an amazing number of socks for one month.
That sounds like a good plan and it just might work – if you don’t buy any more sock yarn! :o)
Oooh, I love the middle ones best! They’re all pretty, but those middle ones…
Whoa! That’s a lot of socks for one month. My sock mojo went missing briefly but I think I found out where it was hiding.

I am WOWed!
You rocked Socktoberfest in a wonderful way! Enjoy that sock mojo!
I love the socks and cute shoes! Alas, I have sworn off socks for good, but do get a little sock-envy when I see them on people’s sites.
Oh, your mystery socks turned out nice – you used the cable pattern, right? I’m not doing the cable and mine are looking pretty good. Mine are blue, too.
Very pretty! You beat me by one pair!
Three pairs in a month? Awesome. Those shoes have the look of ones that could be quite comfy on the feet while still looking cool.
I love those blue socks and the halloween ones look great too. What a nifty label.
