Sweater Progress

As I said last week, I have been knitting exclusively on my Mondo Cable Pulli. This is mostly because it’s easy and I need easy these days. It’s also because I’d really like to have it finished so I can wear it at SPA next weekend.

Mondo Neckline

The body is done. I love the dark grey color and the Beaverslide is very nice to work with although I am disappointed that there are so many knots (3-4) per skein.

Mondo Curling Hem

The hem is curling a bit, though. I’m hoping that it will lay flat once it is blocked but if it doesn’t then I will reknit it with more ribbing and hope that keeps it down.

Mondo Sleeve

And the sleeves . . . well, you understand about sleeves. They are progressing.

But sloooooooowly.

P.S.  JessaLu is having a contest. Tell her Carole sent you.

  1. Mondo looks great! Love the texture of BS. It’s a little annoying hoe one strand of the two is knotted throughout a skein, but spit/splice saves the day so it’s no too bad. I like the hem a little rolled but it will look good with ribbing, too. You’ll make it!

  2. ooh, i love the color. Well, there is something terrific about forced vacation via pneumonia. Enjoy the day!

  3. I love me a pretty grey color and that one is a beauty. I’m surprised there are so many knots in your skeins. Typically she marks down and sells those skeins separately. I agree with Margene . Spit-splicing saves the day in that situation.

  4. An alternative to knitting more ribbing is to knit a facing to stop the curling. Geez, pneumonia! Hope you’re feeling a lot better.

  5. Looks great! I look forward to seeing you in it at SPA .
Unfortunately, the sweater I wanted done for SPA is not cooperating with me 🙁

  6. Oh, I love that cardi! I hate knots in yarn. I am using some Mini Mochi right now and have come upon my second knot. THe worst part is that it makes the color abruptly change rather than going through its normal transitions. I am hoping the second skein doesn’t do this.
