Hello, friends! I'm joining with Kat today to talk about my knitting and reading. My…
Secret Garden Socks
If it seems like I haven’t finished a pair of socks in ages, it’s because I haven’t. Being at home with pneumonia for practically the whole month of February really slowed down my sock knitting. You see, I knit socks in the car, at meetings, while having lunch at the library – you get the idea – and I just didn’t frequent those places much over the last few weeks.
I’m back on track now, though, and I’ve got a newly finished pair of socks to show for it.
Behold the Secret Garden Socks. They look great posing with my yellow crocus.
And equally beautiful with the purple crocus in my father-in-law’s yard.
The yarn is Sophie’s Toes in the color Secret Garden. The pattern is Carole’s Picot Edge Sock, of course. And they are a gift for my stepdaughter, Jessica. Things haven’t been easy for her lately and I think these colorful socks will give her a nice little lift.

Those socks are gorgeous (and oh, the flowers!) — so happy! I hope they do the trick.
Oh boy, those are beautiful! I’d have a hard time sending them off.
They’re so pretty – they would cheer anyone up!
The colors are the perfect harbinger of spring, and not a moment too soon! I know Jess will love them 🙂
They are a happy colorful pair and should lit anyone’s spirits. I hope she loves them!
Love the colors esp in the last photo. I’m sure they’ll cheer Jess up. What a thoughtful gift.
Those Easter eggs colored socks will certainly bring a smile and the knowledge that she is loved.
If my mom knit me a pair of socks like that when I was blue, I’d be over the moon. Big points, big points!
So pretty and spring-y!
I love crocuses. I wish the @#%$@ deer wouldn’t eat them the minute they poke their pretty little heads out of the ground.
I envy you. No, not the socks, the crocuses.
Love the flowers and the socks! I think I’d have trouble sending them off too :o)
Such happy socks!! I bet they put a smile on Jessica’s face. 😉
Beautiful socks. I’m sure your stepdaughter will love them! Hmmm…haven’t done any stepdaughterly knitting in a while…
pretty socks~ AND how lovely that you have crocus!
That pneumonia is just rotten. I had it from Dec-Jan.. ick..
May it be a healthy year for all of us.
Such pretty colors! Beautiful!
Hi Carole! Of all the colors I dye, that one is one of my all-time faves! Thanks for showing it off so beautifully! (I’ve been thinking about a Baktus, and now that color is a serious contender….)
Those are lovely; they’re sure to brighten her day!
Great socks – the colors are gorgeous. I am sure they will do the trick and brighten Jessica’s day…
Lovely socks. I hope they do the trick.
Oh, those are beautiful colors on those socks! And I do envy you the flowers, too. We’ve just got little shoots that will eventually be crocuses.
What happy colors. It’s dreary and supposed to snow here so I could use some bright socks or yarn to make me remember spring will eventually come.
Stunning! And so jealous of your crocuses!! Best wishes to Jessica and may her troubles dissipate.
Oh they are springish and delightful. Great gift. Love a picot anything.
So pretty!
They are beautiful! I really love how the picot edge looks with that yarn. I hope Jessica will be okay.
I think a gift that shows you’ve been thinking of someone is always appropriate — especially in difficult times. I hope Jessica will be ok.
The socks are very pretty. I’m sure that they’ll brighten Jessica’s day. I hope everything is ok.
Beautiful socks! I always love the yarn you picked out — and then can never find it! Very spring-y looking!
