The prompt for the month of March over at Ali Edwards was to choose something…
The Importance Of Branding
You may have noticed a new look to my photos a couple of weeks ago.
I went from this watermark – which isn’t really a logo but is just something I created with a fancy font.
To this watermark – a real live official logo for Carole Julius Photography.
It all started when I realized I needed a Facebook page for my photography hobby business. And I also realized that before I did that I should really invest in a professionally designed logo because, as we all know, branding matters.
I hired a local designer, Steve Culp of Culp Design to do the work and I think he did a fantastic job. We met and talked about my business and website, I showed him some other logos I liked, and he went to work and designed something I never could have pictured but knew right away was perfect for me.
In other words, it was worth every penny.

It’s an awesome logo — distinct and clever and well-designed. Love it!
I love it!
I love logos that are distinctive in a way that communicates something about the company or owner. Yours has so much personality in a creative and stylish way. Sounds like the owner to me!
As my GPS says, “You have arrived!” Congrats!
Congratulations! Very important for sure and a beautiful design!
I like that your logo clearly says (and shows) just what you do, and looks good doing it. Our town has hired a consultant to establish its “brand” to the tune of $93K, but so far it seems like a remake of The Music Man. I’m glad you’re much smarter and have a great new logo for your branding.
I love the new look! And the Facebook page 🙂
He captured your originality and love of life!
That logo is perfect for you. I loved it the minute you started using it. Good work!
Looks fantastic! And you totally deserve it – so I’m glad you did it for yourself!

Looks great – very “balanced.”
LOVE the new look and logo. Big, but necessary, steps for turning that hobby into a business. Looks like you’re off to a great start!
That is really snazzy. I like it.
