I'd love to join Kat for an unraveled post today . . . but I…
Weekending
Another weekend, another mosaic. You’d think I could have pulled this together on Sunday night. But. Here’s the thing about Sundays – I like them to really not be about work. To really just hang out and relax, to spend time with Dale, to go to a movie or for a drive. And often, by the time Sunday evening rolls around, I’m just not in the proper mindset to write a blog post. For now, we’ll go with this and I’ll share the weekend on Tuesday.
So, last weekend I spent time with my little muffin Jackie. I spent time with Dale, having Friday Night Snacks and cocktails, dancing in the living room, and talking about, oh, everything. We went to the movies. (Phantom Thread. It was . . . not what I expected.) I spent a lot of time drinking tea and reading and I even got to go out to breakfast with Jo-Ann.
It was fun and easy, just the way I prefer my weekend to be.

Weekends should most definitely be about weekends, not work! Love the mosaic … and are those smoked oysters on the snack tray? yummmmmm……
I saw Phantom Thread this weekend too. And I agree, it wasn’t what I expected. I’m not quite sure how to describe it.
Weekends should be about fun, relaxing, and whatever you want them to be.
Unless you’re 15 & have procrastinated your homework, Sunday nights are definitely for relaxing.
Hm. Curious about Phantom Thread!!
Sunday evenings are to be savored. They are a mixed blessing!
I am curious about Phantom Thread too!
Another perfect Carole weekend.
You know how to make a weekend count!
One of the best things about being retired is NOT having to spend Sunday night getting ready for Monday morning. As much as I would try to deal with that stuff on Friday evening, it rarely happened.
🙂
(Shall we tell them about Phantom Thread???)
XO
Perfect weekend, as far as I can tell, and it is wise not to attach any “should’s” to a weekend. That just ruins it!
Sometimes the simplest is truly the best. I’m so looking forward to having my non-blogging sister in law and her husband over tonight for lasagna. I so miss entertaining, but Steve and I have been able to have some lovely chats recently.
