Happy Birthday, Dale!

Today is one of my favorite days of the year, the day that Dale was born. He’s 73 today, which pretty much blows my mind . . . and his, too, according to what he’s told me. He says he still feels like a kid and goodness knows he still acts like one and that’s just fine with me as I wouldn’t want him any other way.

In a rare turn of events, we are home this year and not in Maine as we have been for the last several years. That means no lobster (at least no lobster today, there will be lobster soon) but it does mean family time and we’ll be hanging with some of our kids later for pizza and make-your-own sundaes. As you can see, the kid theme continues with the food choices!

I hope you’ll join me in wishing Dale many happy returns of the day!

  1. Happy birthday, Dale! Such a great example of how it’s possible to grow up without growing old. Enjoy your day!

  2. Dear Dale, It blows my mind that I turned 73 in January! Where did the time go? I never believed older people when they told me that the time moved so fast, but then it did. I hope you continue to stay young at heart as it is the key to happiness and health. You are so lucky to be surounded by family and friends who love you. Have a fabulous birthday!

  3. Happy Birthday, Dale! Feeling like a kid at 73? LIFE GOAL! XO (And I’ll take pizza and sundaes over lobster any day.)

  4. Happy Birthday Dale! You sure make 73 look good. Enjoy the pizza and sundaes, and love to Carole for introducing you to the internets.

  5. Best Wishes to Dale … for a fantastic birthday, and many more joy-filled trips around the sun! I think his birthday dinner sounds like a great way to start!
