Weekend Glimmers, August 9th – 11th, 2024

It was a decidedly better weekend than last, friends. On Friday we did lots of things to gather information and prepare for a couple of big home projects we are planning. We also had a fun lunch out, something we rarely do.

And then I spent the rest of the weekend at home, not because I was feeling punky but because the weather was glorious and my energy levels felt great. I puttered in the garden and staked the dahlias.

I actually spent time in my studio, working in my journals, playing with some watercolor blueberries, and thinking about knitting projects.

I soaked in all the flora and fauna. Our hummingbirds are super active right now and we’ve got a pair of eastern tiger swallowtail butterflies hanging out on the butterfly bush, along with lots of chipping sparrows, goldfinches, tufted titmice, and nuthatches.

My window boxes are spent but the other containers are looking good and I’m grateful for everything that’s growing right now.
