The prompt for the month of March over at Ali Edwards was to choose something…
Thursday Challenge: Fruit
It’s been a long time since I participated in the Thursday Challenge Photo project but when I got the email that this week’s theme was fruit, I knew I had the perfect photo.
Behold – the fruit platter I made at the request of my friend Anne for Tom’s 50th birthday party last weekend. I readily agreed when she asked me to do this even though I loathe cutting up fruit. I’d do anything to help a friend, even cut up lots and lots of fresh fruit. It was all worth it when I brought it to her, too, and she smiled and said to me, “I knew I gave you the right assignment. This is beautiful.”
And I got a blog post out of it, too.
Winning.

How yummy and tempting!
Beautiful! The toothpicks in the lemon is really clever.
Plus, you had something healthy to snack on!
Pretty except for the deadly (to me) kiwi. 🙂
pretty to look at and yummy to eat!
The blackberries were so delicious, and the platter was gorgeous!
But then, no one expected anything different – you are the best at whatever you choose to do 🙂
YUM! (And that’s all I have to say about that.)
Beautiful and yummy! I could lick that platter clean!
So appetizing! I like what you did with the pineapple.
I love food pictures that were arranged by good photographers! The ‘photographer eye’ always seems to know what the ‘foodie eye’ wants and in what order. Just gorgeous.
Your photos have come a long way! This one is literally mouth-watering.
HUNGRY FOR ALL THAT FRUIT NOW!! Gorgeous.
My favorite thing is fruit. I love how you used fruit for your bowls/containers. Ditto what Robby said above.
Great presentation and the use of hollowed out fruit for containers and holders. So who ate the pineapple? 🙂
It was fun to read the comments today because they made me look beyond the beautiful whole and appreciate the details. Embiggening this photo was well worth it. So creative, Carole!
Wow! Beautiful!
But where are the pineapple innards?
I love the use of the hollowed out fruit as well! So creative Carole! Can’t wait to see what you’ve got in mind for Super Bowl Sunday!
Mmmmmm ……. tasty fruit …….. I like to take some 🙂
Your fruit tray and arrangement is beautifully done! The
photo is also beautiful! You are very creative.
Beautiful!
I could eat all of the fruit on that platter right now, and I’m not even hungry. It just looks so good!
